PROJECT SAFEGUARD
Mission Statement: To support youth to advocate, educate, and collaborate for a drug-free lifestyle and overall well-being.

Project Safeguard is composed of individuals from diverse backgrounds, focusing on equity, restorative practices, and youth empowerment. The team is well trained in ACEs (adverse childhood experiences), the Strategic Prevention Framework Model, and are actively practicing cultural humility.
The partnerships and services address the comprehensive needs of the entire individual or family rather than focusing on one symptom or problem. Project Safeguard engages the community to work collaboratively with local government and schools to creative positive change.
Proposed projects include:
-
The development of a youth-led coalition
-
Parent and adult media campaigns
-
Parent education and programming
-
Restorative practices in schools
-
Community outreach through drug awareness assemblies
-
Linkage to wrap-around services (workforce development, substance use disorder treatment, drug and alcohol counseling)
